Here in the northwest we have high PH clay soil. Huma-Iron™ contains large amounts of humic acid that breaks down clay soils and promotes water retention. If water can penetrate your soil, it does not stay on the surface and evaporate. As water penetrates the soil, the roots will follow and grow deeper into the ground. When you have developed a healthy plant with a deep root system, you watering needs, will be cut dramatically. It is common to see a reduction between 25-50%. As you reduce the amount of water on your lawn, you will also see other beneficial effects. Reduced susceptibility of fungus, thatch reduction, and overall plant health are all benefits of reduced watering on your lawn.
The humic acid in Huma-Iron™ breaks down thatch. A healthy population of soil bacterial can only do so much to break down thatch, Huma-Iron™ help this process. Directions for use:
Lawns - Apply to established lawns at a rate of 2 lbs per 100 sq. ft (10X10)
Covers 1,250 sq. Ft. at above rate (25’ X 50’)
Trees - apply in drip zone with 1 cup per inch of trunk diameter.
Roses - 1 cup spread evenly beneath the plant.
