Save-A-Tree
To whom it may concern: I have two questions please if you can help me: I have several apple trees that have orange spots all over the leaves. Someone from a tree selling company told me that it was cedar root rust or rot. We do have a couple of cedar trees 20 yards from them. I was wondering if it can be "cured" or if you have to cut cedar trees or apple trees down. ???? I have zoysia grass growing the past 10 years and now les p dezza (someone told me that is how it is spelled) is growing all in it. Is it going to kill the zoysia grass, if so, is there anything that can be done to kill the les p dezza? Thank you very much. Sincerely, tracy

Hello, I have a nectarine tree which I planted about 3 months ago and it was doing really well and my puppy chewed off a very smalll portion of the outer bark and it looks like it has gone into shock. I have sprayed the tree where the bark was chewed off and have applied vitamon B-1----- Is there anything else I can do? I live in Kingman AZ and it has been in the high 90's to very low 100's Thank you for your help July 21, 2006

06-22-2006 Hi... We just purchased a gallon of Save-A-Tree and are unclear regarding the directions..... Our honeylocust tree is approx. 30' tall..It measures 22" in diameter.... Do we measure the Save A Tree liquid and the appropriate amount of water then simply pour the measured amounts at the base of the tree trunk or at the drip line of the tree???? How many gallons of Save A Tree do we need? Thanks .......

TESTIMONIALS
Dear Terralife: I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the generous suport of the University of Idaho Extension course Living on the Land. When I started this class I hoped for a minimalistic overview of next steps to work on a very basic plan for my burgeoning wine grape busienss. What I received was 20 times my expectations. Through the expert guidanceof Dr, Laughlin and all his great guest speakers, I now have a working business plan for the next five years, can give you 10 of my next realistic steps to success, AND know what I will not attempt on my land. The wealth of knowledge imparted through this program has changed my life. Thanks again for all you do to make this course possible. Yours truly, Wendy T.

NPK onions on the left Save-A-Tree onions on the right, showing NO signs of the white rot as of early May!

The last picture is of one of my famous cucumbers, using about two gallons of Save-A-Treeon a 10 x 20 foot garden area. The inside was perfect, and it was really sweet. Can't wait for all of this year's Save-A-Tree results to come in.

We also put 50 gallons per acre on some Walla Walla sweet onions last spring. The farmer was amazed at the storability difference between the Save-A-Treeonion and the conventional one. The pictures were taken on September 30. The Save-A-Treeonion on the left lasted through the end of October. We are now trying it on a field infested with white rot, and so far so good. As of April 10, there is NO white rot showing up on the onions! (Update, May 7, 1999 -- still no white rot. See the photo below...........)

I just wanted to let you know what an incredible product I think we have in Save-A-Tree. About seven acres we lease to a farmer was put into wheat last year. We put Save-A-Treeon a 14 foot strip through the middle of the field. We used about 20 gallons per acre. I took samples right before harvest of the Save-A-Treearea, and the wheat on both sides. We found rust (a wheat disease) on both sides of the Save-A-Treewheat. We found no evidence of it in the Save-A-Treearea. The kernels were noticeably larger and fuller, and there wer more kernels per beard. The stalks were also bigger.

Trees
05/26/06 I have a small pine type tree, its about 3' tall and every year it has little patches of brown, what could the problem be, what can I do?

Our tree is approximately three years old, and this spring we have noticed a 'weeping' on the truck of this tree. What could be the cause? Mrs. C.

I have a small lemon tree that I have had for about 4 years. It has done very well in our well-lit family room here in Noth Dakota. I presently have 12 fair sized lemons and it blossomed again and I expect a good many more...if the tree dosen't die. The leaves are dropping rapidly, some branches are completely bare. Is this natural? If not what can I do. I also have an orange tree that is doing well with occasional bouts of leaves getting black spots and infested with a white tiny insect. Again, some advice, please. Gary

My horses have eaten the bark off the tree trunk during this winter. The trees all have buds on them and look okay, but I’m afraid they will die. What can I do to save them? Is there something I should put on the trunk? Thanks for your response. Judy

My tree happens to be hollow at the bottom with a large hole. It is growing, has leaves and is budding. Tapping around the bottom it was hollow at some places. Thank you, Tara
